Apex Group further expands global product leadership team with appointment of Michael Goering, Product Chief Operating Officer
Apex Group Ltd. (“the Group”), the leading global financial services provider, has appointed Michael Goering as Product Chief Operating Officer. Bringing a wealth of knowledge in product management, operations, and commercial expertise, Goering will look to accelerate Apex Group’s consistent global delivery of best-in-jurisdiction capabilities and product offerings.
Based in New York, this strategic role follows several other senior leadership appointments made by Apex Group in the U.S., including a newly appointed Chief Product Officer, Global Head of Transformation, and Global Chief Business Development Officer. These recent hires showcase the deep commitment that Apex Group has to strengthening its global product offerings and elevating its leadership team to help drive continued digital transformation efforts across the financial services industry.
Goering has more than 30 years of experience in the financial services industry, with a strong track record of driving efficiencies, accelerating growth and delivering standout client experiences. Prior to joining Apex Group, Goering held the position of Vice President and Head of Investment Managed Services at S&P Global, where he successfully led 500 billion dollars of growth in private and syndicated loans across 250 clients, and delivered a 94% efficiency improvement in their middle office services, claiming the top market settlement position for two years.
Additionally, Goering served an 8+ year tenure as Managing Director at Morgan Stanley, where he led developments to the wealth platform, redesigned systems across MMA, margin and private banking, and launched new services including specialized lending and securities-based lending. His career in financial services began at Citigroup, where he worked to redesign the business’ custody operating model across 72 markets, was responsible for the transaction services business throughout Latin America and North America, and managed a product development group out of London.
